DEGREE REQUIREMENTS The Bachelor Degree in Divinity (B.Div) requires one hundred twenty (120) semester hours of basic education including ten semester hours each in History, Language, Literature, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, plus thirty semester hours in Religious Studies and thirty semester hours of electives. Courses from other institutions of higher education may be transferred to the Seminary in order to meet these requirements. The Bachelor Degree in Religious Studies (B.Rel.) requires one hundred twenty (120) semester hours of basic education including ten semester hours each in History, Language, Literature, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, plus thirty semester hours in Religious Studies and thirty semester hours of electives. Courses from other institutions of higher education may be transferred to the Seminary in order to meet these requirements. The Master Degree in Divinity (M.Div) requires ninety semester hours of which at least sixty semester hours must be in 300 level or higher courses. The thesis required of all M.Div. candidates constitutes fifteen semester hours of this requirement. The Master Degree in Ministry (M. Min.) and Religious Studies (M.Rel.) each require thirty semester hours of which eighteen hours must be in 300 level or higher courses. The Master of Sacred Theology (M.S.Th.) requires a total of forty-eight semester hours of which thirty must be in 300 level or higher courses and fifteen hours must be in a thesis which is required of all M.S.Th. candidates. One half of the courses taken must be in the department of the declared major. A minor requires twelve semester hours in one Department. A minor is not required. The Doctorate in Divinity (D.D.) requires sixty semester hours beyond the master degree of which forty-eight semester hours must be in 400 and 500 level courses. One half of the courses taken must be in the department of the declared major and one third of the courses taken must be in the department of the declared minor of the candidate. A dissertation is optional. The Doctorate in Ministry (D.Min.) requires sixty semester hours beyond the master degree of which forty-eight semester hours must be in 400 and 500 level courses. One half of the courses taken must be in the department of the declared major and one third of the courses taken must be in the department of the declared minor of the candidate. The Doctorate in Theology (Th.D.) requires sixty semester hours beyond the master degree of which thirty semester hours must in 400 and 500 level courses and thirty semester hours must be in a dissertation. The required dissertation for the Th.D. may be in Comparative Religions, Esoteric Spirituality, Sacred Literature or Sacred Theology at the option of the student. Fifteen semester hours must be in the department of the declared major and ten semester hours must be in candidate's declared minor. LICENSED SPIRITUAL COACH Those who complete the requirements for Licensed Spiritual Health Coach will be licensed by the Spiritual Health Coach License Board. Persons licensed as a Licensed Spiritual Health Coach and those obtaining a degree with Spiritual Coaching as their major or minor will automatically become members of the Spiritual Health Coaches Association (SHCA).
